This book deals with the 208 steam locomotives of the Western Pacific operating from 1949 to 1970 from Salt Lake City, Oakland and San Francisco. It ran the California Zephyr until 1962, a highly successful passenger train. Frontis shows Engine 96 at Berry Creek, 1912. Signed by Author(s).
