A very attractive advertising brochure, with parodies in verse of Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas, composed by the copywriter Stanley Penn. Illustrated in full colour by Anthony Groves-Raines and designed by S. H. Benson, this is delightful example of a Guinness annual Christmas publication. This copy has never been opened, and is still in its sealed original white card envelope, with an enclosed compliment slip from "Arthur Guinness Son & Co.
