A set of two books of color photographs, with a modest amount of accompanying text. Uncertain as to parentage, but priced at five Pounds each, my speculation being that these were offered to the crowds of tourists that may have queued up for souvenirs at the Bampton filming locations. Book One is 29 pages, printed on the right-hand side only, giving film company information, cast listing, introduction, and most photos captioned. Book Two is 43 pages, printed on both left and right sides, similar in editorial content, but capped off with a map of "Downton Abbey Village".

No Binding. Condition: Very Good. Original index card signed and inscribed by James Grout. This is a genuine autograph, not a photocopy or preprint. The last photo shows the card alongside a ruler to give an idea of the size. Provenance: This came direct from the collection of John Short. John Short amassed a huge collection of over 50,000 autographs in his lifetime. He began collecting signatures at stage doors in the 1960s right up until his death in 2022. He also obtained autographs through his work as a Wrestling MC, a job that took him all over the world. In the 1960s and 1970s he would visit London on a weekly basis to obtain autographs from those appearing in the West End. It is estimated that he saw or attended over two-thousand plays, shows, talks and events in his lifetime. Signed by Author(s).
