Hardcover. Condition: Fair-. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, green cloth boards with attractive front cover decorated in gilt and white. Front and spine looks nice but rear board has some spotting. Reason for the low condition grade is because of the internal binding. Hinges are good at boards but hinges broken in numerous places and some are a bit ugly. All the pages are attached but if you look at the outside edges, particular the fore edge, pages don't line up and stick out in page quadrants. No owner signatures or bookplates found. Signed and generically inscribed by the author on the frontispiece which is a photo of him. Pages are toned due to age and some foxing is present the illustration of page 48 has some staining along the top edge which can also be seen on the surrounding pages. The front has an attractive cover so hopefully whoever buys this is able to repair the binding of the interior pages. Uncommon to find with signature on the portrait. Signed by Author(s). …
