A hand written copy of the poem "Jesus the Pearl of Great Price" by William H. Warner. A note at the bottom of the last page explains it has been copied from the original by Euge…ne P. Greider to "his beloved friend George A. Weiss June 18th 1850." Both men were Moravian missionaries who worked in the Caribbean. While little is known about Weiss, Greider was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was an apprentice shoemaker, before getting the call and serving as a missionary, then traveling deacon in Indiana, Maryland, and New Jersey, before being located in the Southern Province of the Moravian Church in North Carolina.
