Original Cloth. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Second Edition. 2/- small format reprint from 1951 of a thriller published for the first time in 1947. Rubbing to boards at top and bottom of the spine and at the corners with light stains at the top of the front and rear panels. The page edges are heavily browned. The pages are browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has several chips missing from the edges with a one inch piece missing from the base of the spine and some surface creasing to the front panel.

Mass Market Paperback. Condition: Very Good+. 1st Edition. No printing date stated but early 1950s vintage. A very scarce little paperback. Tiny bump on top of front cover corner, and a larger diagonal crease on bottom of back cover. Book is straight and bright with excellent binding. Vintage advertisements on back cover, and one for Cadbury's chocolate bars on inside back cover. The one on the inside front cover asks: "Is smoking ruining your health?" Textblock is excellent and appears unread. No names, marks, creases or tears. None of my books are ex-library, remaindes, or bce unless specified.

One inch crease to the bottom corner of the rear cover. Crease down the left edge of the front cover next to the spine. Light edge rubbing to the covers. The page edges are browned. Tape marks to the top and bottom of the first and last pages - the book had previously had a plastic cover with tape at the corners of this creating the marking. The pages at the front and rear of the book have quite a bit of yellow spotting and the pages are browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. The blue boards have a little edge rubbing and light corner bumping with some fading to the lettering on the spine. Pages fairly heavily browned as is usually the case with these cheap editions but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Jacket has light edge chipping and a date stamped on the rear panel. It has also been folded so that a small part of the rear panel can be seen on the spine which is a little faded.
