Publisher's burgundy cloth with silver titles to spine, colour-illustrated dust-jacket, priced at 13/6. Contents clean, no inscriptions, edges gently toned, jacket with a few small nicks and creased tears, chipped to foot of spine. Shows well. A very good copy. Adventure caper featuring the crime fighter 'Norman Conquest (a forerunner of Ian Fleming's James Bond), who lived in a London penthouse and enjoyed fast cars and fancy gadgets. A total of 51 Conquest books were published from 1938-1969.

An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents toned due to the poor quality paper stock are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrapper, correctly priced 8s 6d net to the front flap. One of the author's scarcest titles under the Victor Gunn pseudonym, rare in presentation state.
