Erste Ausgabe. "Den Behörden der Stadt Eisleben gewidmet." "Georg Paul Hermann Größler (geboren 2. April 1840 in Naumburg an der Saale; gestorben 4. Februar 1910 in Eisleben) war ein deutscher Lehrer und Historiker. Sein größter Erfolg war die Aufdeckung des Fürstengrabes bei Helmsdorf. Er hat über 250 Schriften veröffentlicht." (Wikipedia). "Lutherstadt Eisleben ist eine Mittelstadt und die zweitgrößte Stadt im Landkreis Mansfeld-Südharz im östlichen Harzvorland in Sachsen-Anhalt. Bekannt ist sie als Geburts- und Sterbeort Martin Luthers. Zu Ehren des größten Sohnes der Stadt führt Eisleben seit 1946 den Beinamen 'Lutherstadt'. (.) 1371 wurde das Heilig-Geist-Stift erstmals urkundlich erwähnt und 1408 ein erstes Rathaus aus Stein. 1462 wurde der Chor der St.-Nicolai-Kirche eingeweiht, die man auf den Grundmauern der Gotthardkirche errichtet hatte. 1433 wurde ein Kauf- und Gewandhaus mit Waage auf dem Marktplatz erwähnt (siehe Alte Waage (Eisleben)); der Standort entspricht dem Haus Markt 22. Im Jahr 1440 zählte die Stadt 530 Hausbesitzer und an die 4000 Einwohner. Mit dem Bau der Türme für St. Petri-Pauli begann man 1447, für die Nicolaikirche und die Andreaskirche 1462. 1454 erwarb der Rat der Stadt von den Grafen von Mansfeld die Niedergerichte innerhalb der 'Versteinung' (der durch Grenzsteine markierten Grenze) als Pfand für 900 Rheinische Gulden. Die Grafen konnten das Pfand nie wieder einlösen. Am 10. November 1483 wurde Martin Luther in der Langen Gasse (Vorstadt Brückenviertel, trans aquam), der heutigen Lutherstraße, geboren."
