Bis 1972 sang sie Rollen als dramatischer Mezzosopran und wechselte nach einer zehnjährigen Pause ins Charakterfach. Gorr besaß eine "umfangreiche, voluminöse" Stimme, deren "dramatische Steigeru…ngsfähigkeit" insbesondere in den Partien des Wagner-Fachs, aber auch in den dramatischen Mezzosopranrollen der italienischen und französischen Opernliteratur bestens zur Geltung kam.
