A l'écrivain Jules Janin (1804-1874) : « Monsieur Goria prie monsieur Jules Janin de lui faire l'honneur d'assister au concert qu'il donnera le samedi 12 avril salle Pleyel. On entendra : mad Dobré de l'Opéra, Bassine[?] de l'op. Cque. MMr Hermann, Gottschalk, Godefroid, L Massart et A Goria ». Si nous n'avons rien trouvé sur ce concert, probablement privé, la liste des artistes est intéressante. On y trouve notamment la soprano Marie-Rosalie-Claire Dobré (1818-?), le virtuose américain Louis Moreau Gottschall (1829-1869), fameux compositeur qui fit le tour du monde pour interpréter ses oeuvres, le compositeur et harpiste belge Félix Godefroid (1818-1897), le violoniste belge Joseph Massart (1811-1892). Hermann est probablement le pianiste et professeur Johann David Hermann (ca.1760-1846) qui fut le professeur de Marie-Antoinette. Dans la chemise papier « Lettres adressées à M. Jules Janin ». Belle lettre de remerciements pour un article dans le journal Le Mousquetaire. « Cela me fait oublier bien des sottes inimitiés - de ces critiques sans jugement qui abattent un artiste, sans le faite progresser d'un pas. […] Dieu protège la France ! et les pauvres pianistes qu'il est de mode d'éreinter ». Le journal Le Mousquetaire fut publié du 12 novembre 1853 au 13 juillet 1856. L'article de Gatayes se trouve dans le n°180 daté du 10 avril donc du jour-même de la lettre de Goria et non de la veille comme il l'écrit. Très belle lettre.
