Tight, square and sharp cornered; the only flaw is the former owner's blind stamp on the front free endpaper. The jacket has excellent even color, no tears or nicks, price is intact. The jacket has been covered with a mylar sleeve for protection. 32 two color wood cut illustrations from Liveright's original publication have been reproduced for this edition. Considered by National Geographic to be one of the ten best travel adventures ever written. 370pp., notes, index. Comes to you in an archival document bag for storage. Small discoloration/smudge on the bottom of the pages. Pasted on ownership plate on the inside front cover. Great endpapers front and back and extraordinary illustrations throughout by Witold Gordon. No notes, highlighting, markings. Pages have yellowed a bit with age. A very nice book.
