Eventually rising to Lieutenant Colonel Gordon was killed during the battle of Waterloo. He fought during the Corunna campaign of the Peninsular War and maintained an extensive journal which is the source of this work. Includes 2*maps. 238pp. 0.5cm closed tear to lower rear DJ edge. DJ becoming a little yellowed with age and exposure.
