Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. International Edition. CHINESE ART BY LION-GOLDSCHMIDT & MOREAU-GOBARD 1960 198 PLATES LARGE HC. I am very pleased to be able to offer for your consideration a lovely copy of a very large book titled: Chinese Art Bronze-Jade-Sculpture-Ceramics by Daisy Lion-Goldschmidt and Jean-Claude…Moreau-Gobard. This very large hard cover book (10 ¼ x 13 ¼ x 2 inches 425 pages) was published by Studio Books of London dated 1960. It was translated from the original French edition (Art de la Chine) by Diana Imber and opens with a brief Foreword by George Savage. The book is very well illustrated with 198 numbered and captioned plates-some in black-and-white and some tipped-in color. The book is bound in a heavy weave beige cloth with large red titles on the spine. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is some very minor and hard to see soiling to the deep weave boards and some toning to the spine where the hands touch it. The corners and spine tips are faintly bumped. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are clean and bright throughout without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. International Edition.
