Some tidy, neat coloring noted and pencil notes to the rear endpaper. Name & date, 1922, to fpde. Some cracking to the front hinge but still very tight and solid. A liitle wear to the cloth binding and to the paste-down illustration of the front boards. Titles and decoration to the spine are bright and unfaded. Somewhat better than an average copy. Some wear to corners and edges. Spine darkened. A bit of staining and rubbing to both boards. Top edge of text block has some foxing. Previous owner's name in pencil on back side of frontispiece. Otherwise, inside pages are clean and unmarked with light toning. Dustwrapper has heavy wear to top edge and tail of spine, with paper loss at both spine ends and upper corners. Some creases, small stains, and edge tears. Spine darkened. White rear panel and folds have foxing. Not price-clipped. A scarce copy in dustjacket. Issued since 1880 by the Religious Tract Society as an annual compilation of the Girl's Own Paper, this is one of the last of this series, which stopped publication in 1940 due to the war paper shortage.
