Three chips missing from cover corners, else very good. These souvenir albums were obtained by redeeming coupons packed with cigarettes. Features the same choice illustrations as the card series of the same name. Each page also features related art that ties the images together and include woodland and marsh scenes and kitchen scenes showing birds being prepared for dinner. This is the "Second Edition" with index inside front cover.

Complete collection of hand chromo litho plates of the 1889 Paris World's Fair.vibrant rich colors, the first chromo view of the Eiffel Tower published in America. or maybe Europe. the original silk cords ties are present, color pictorial covers, edge worn else a very good copy, plates are clean and excellent.Allen & Ginter are famous for their tobacco and their antique baseball cards.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Hardback. Large 8vo. pp (20) Rebound in dark red cloth lettered gilt at front, original paper covers bound in, new endpapers. Copiously illustrated in colour throughout. No date, c.1880s. Each page is printed chromolithographically on one side in attractive colour. Text with additional information about each medal and order on the verso. The only decoration from the United States is the medal from the Order of the Cincinnati. Colour lithography by Lindner, Eddy & Clauss of New York. Slight marking and foxing to new prelims, otherwise clean very good with original contents near fine.

Second edition, so stated on the upper wrapper. Small oblong 8vo., orig. pictorial colour printed wrappers, ties, (24)pp. printed on the rectos only. Each leaf has several chromithograph images of birds, which replicate the illustrations that appeared on the cigarette card series of the same name. In addition each page contains a chromolithograph image related to the habitat, hunting or 'cooking' of the various birds represented. Wrappers soiled with some wear along the edges and a scrape in the upper corner but still a very good example.

Stiff card wraps. Condition: Fine. Twelve 8vo pages of cardstock, including the covers. Bound with cord. Each page is printed chromolithographically on one side in vibrant color. The interior pages reproduce cigarette cards issued by the tobacco company. Facing the pages with the illustrations is letterpress explanatory text. A fine example of a very scarce item. .
