No rub through on cloth, just creases and folding on spine cloth. Boards lightly handled, cloth is clean, gilt very bright. 422 pp text is gilded on all edges, it is tight and securely bound with all 7 plates and tissue-guarded frontispiece present. This was a gift book to a student at the Girls Public Day School Co. Ltd. and Central Newcastle High School is embossed in gilt into the rear cover as well as on a tidy prize label affixed to the front free endpaper.
