Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Clean copy of this collection of pieces considering the challenge of the atomic bomb. Ink annotations to pp.51-4 but not too heavy. This copy has been dedicated by the editor to The Baroness Ravensdale with best wishes - almost certainly Irene Curzon (1896-1966), who was made a CBE for her work in support of Save the Children. Includes a newspaper clipping reporting a speech by Clement Attlee to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in Canberra, in which he argues that insistence on the absolute right of sovereign power leads to anarchy. Dust wrapper good - some nibbling to edges and one tear near top of spine but no significant losses; unclipped & now in protective sleeve. Language: eng. Inscribed by Author(s).
