Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is an excerpt from the author's poem following the childhood development of Marcus Tullius Cicero against the backdrop of the ancient Roman Republic. Through a whimsical third-person narrative, the author reimagines young Cicero's early childhood and education, from his early lessons in reading and writing to the influence of his mother Elvia and tutor Marcus. While largely fictional, the book grounds its narrative in research, painting a compelling portrait of Cicero's early life, his relationship with learning, and the broader political and social context in which he lived. Literary enthusiasts will appreciate the whimsical tone of this book, while anyone interested in Roman history will find this fictionalized account of one of its greatest orators a fascinating read. Add to basketIn Milano ed in Genova, Presso Felice Repetto, in Canneto, 1776, Prima edizione. Ottimo esemplare in barbe, molto fresco e pulito.
