A weekly guide to homosexual life in New York City that ran from 1970-2000. The digest-size magazine was placed in bars and restaurants and originally sold on newsstands for fifty cents. Besides being a handy guide to gay bars around the city, the magazine covers an array of subjects including: ballets, books, film, theater, politics, horoscopes and more. Also featured are ads for clubs and baths. Many columnists writing for the publication did so under pseudonyms such as Angelo D'Arcangelo (Josef Bush) and Rose March who are included here. George Sardi is also listed as a contributor in this issue, Sardi would later go on to be a founder of *Gay Morning America,* a weekly variety show on Manhattan public-access television. *Michael's Thing* was named after publisher Michael Giammetta and was a significant source for readers to stay informed on a scene that was largely ignored by the mainstream media.
