Five studio still photographs, one of which is a compilation photograph of two images, from the 1979 re-release of the 1959 film. Based on the story "La Bell au bois Dormant" ("The Sleeping Beauty") from the 1697 book "Histoires ou contes du temps passe," by Charles Perrault, which laid the foundation for the fairy tale, deriving the tales from earlier folk tales. Walt Disney's last adaptation of a fairy tale in his lifetime, due to lackluster boxoffice performance and mixed critical response, largely because of similarities with 1937 "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," now an undeniable classic in the Disney's pantheon of animated features. Nominated for an Academy Award. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine. National Film Registry.

Condition: As New. Clyde Geronimi (illustrator). This is a collection of prints. Size: 14" x 10" (360mm x 260mm). TWO very rare Disney Ozalids from the collection of Peter Adby, the Manager of Walt Disney's London Studio (from 1953-1968). Two Model Sheets from "Pecos Bill", featuring 36 individual drawings of characters from the animation. These sheets have obviously been used in production in the Disney Studios and show signs of this use as it was used to help create Disney History, so as such there is an expected level of wear and tear. Pecos Bill is an animated short from the film Melody Time released on May 27, 1948. It was reissued as a stand-alone short on February 20, 1954, and has also appeared on Disney Sing Along Songs (1986) and Rootin' Tootin' Roundup (1989). Considered official Disney Documents, these sheets rarely if ever left the Studios. The Ozalid printing process relies on a sensitised paper being developed using ammonia vapour, resulting in a very stable and long lasting print, often used by architects and early animation studios, as the sheets would have been handled over and over.
