Paperback: grey paper wrappers with black lettering, sewn. 16pp. With introductory notes by Gerish, 8pp, followed by the reprinted short original text of 1699. W.B. Gerish of Bishop's Stortford wrote and published booklets between 1905 and 1915 on Hertfordshire folk-lore and curious incidents from the history of Hertfordshire, such as witchcraft trials, remarkable individuals and incidents, based on original documents. Very Good. Tiny corner loss to bottom of title page.

Paperback: orange paper wrappers with black lettering, sewn. 27pp. With introductory notes by Gerish, 10pp, followed by the reprinted original text of 1606, which concerns a murder in Bishop's Hatfield, and the supposed miracle of a child witness who could speak after her tongue had been removed. W.B. Gerish of Bishop's Stortford wrote and published booklets between 1905 and 1915 on Hertfordshire folk-lore and curious incidents from the history of Hertfordshire, such as witchcraft trials, remarkable individuals and incidents, based on original documents. Light edge wear and fading to wrappers round edges Half-title has some orange ink splashes that were probably made during production. A Very Good copy.
