Cloth-backed portfolio with cloth ties worn but present and attached, containing an 8-page pamphlet with an introduction by Georges Derry and a list of the illustrations; and 19 loose collotype plates. The plates show previously unpublished comic illustrations to Book II of Virgil's Aeneid, executed in 1886 when the artist was about thirteen. No. 13 of a limited edition of 150 copies, signed by Harold Hartley beneath the limitation. Edges and corners of boards slightly worn, and spine toned; the first plate somewhat browned, and slight browning to edges of some other plates. Bookplate of Charles W. Berry inside front board.
