A collection of humorous prose and poetry written by George Colman (1762-1836), known as "the Younger", including My Night Gown and Slippers (originally published in 1797), Broad Grins (1802), Poetical Vagaries (1812), as well as ballads, songs and anecdotes. An affectionate memoir of Colman is given by the editor George B. Buckstone. 26 pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with only a little wear to the extremities and head of the spine. The spine is slightly sunned. The front hinge is tender but still reasonably firm. The rear hinge is weak.
