Published without dust jacket. Bound in red cloth with black type face on the front board. Inscribed by editor Nadine A. Steinmetz to Richard Dietrich o…n the title page on 27 November 1991. Printed in an edition of 2,000 copies. This copy is number 266 / 2,000. A portion of the frontispiece in the first 1,000 copies is hand colored in the tradition of the colors used in Ephrata Cloister Fraktur. This copy is smyth sewn. Smyth sewing is a method of book binding where groups of folded pages (referred to as signatures) are stitched together using binder thread. Each folded signature is sewn together individually with multiple stitches and then joined with other signatures to create the complete book block. This is the traditional and best method of bookbinding. Nancy L. Coleman (illustrator). Inscribed By Editor.
