Two vintage black-and-white studio still photographs from the 1961 film. Based on Fannie Hurst's 1931 novel "Back Street." Wealthy heir begins an illicit affair with a shop owner on his way through Nebraska. A far more dramatic film than the 1932 and 1941 versions, and one which deviates considerably from the source material. Set in New York, Nebraska, and Italy, shot on location in California. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus.

"I went into the black room---the one with wall-to-wall mattresses and no lights---and I'm still trying to guess who I had---and who had me!" Provocative cover illustration of two mostly naked hippie couples in the final stages of disrobing. Fine. Very scarce, we haven't encountered this before and OCLC turns up only one copy at UCLA.
