Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition. AQ6 - A first edition (stated with complete numberline) hardcover book SIGNED by author on the titlte page in very good condition in very good dust jacket that is mylar protected. Dust jacket and book have bumped corners, light discoloration and shelf wear. A seasoned White House correspondent surveys an unusual presidency and answers the most important question: Does Trump matter? 9.5"x6.5", 326 pages. Satisfaction Guaranteed. Major Garrett has been reporting on the White House for nearly two decades, covering four different presidencies for three news outlets. But if he thought that his distinguished journalistic career had prepared him for the unique challenges of covering Donald Trump, he was in for a surprise. Like many others in Washington, Garrett found himself having to unlearn many of his own settled notions about the nature and function of the presidency. He also had to separate the carnival-like noise of the Trump presidency from its underlying substance. For even in its first half, Trump's tenure has been highly consequential. In Mr. Trump's Wild Ride, Major Garrett provides what journalists are often said to do, but usually don't: a true first draft of history. His goal was to sift through the mountains of distracting tweets and shrieking headlines in order to focus on the most significant moments of Trump's young presidency, the ones that Garrett believes will have a lasting impact. The result is an authoritative, mature, and consistently entertaining account of one of the strangest eras in American political history. A consummate professional with unimpeachable integrity, remarkable storytelling skills, and a deep knowledge of his subject earned through decades of experience, Garrett brings to life the twists and turns of covering this White House and its unconventional occupant with wit, sagacity and style. Mr. Trump's Wild Ride should place him securely in the first rank of Washington journalists. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Signed by Author.

Magazine / Periodical First Edition
Softcover Magazine Issues. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. VINTAGE CHRISTIAN MAGAZINES, CHURCH OF IRELAND, 1945 to 1951. Archive collection of 20 issues of "Divinity", a quarterly review edited by some members of the Church of Ireland. Softcover. Almost all issues have blue paper covers with black lettering, with the exception of Volume I, No. 1, which is typed on a typewriter on copy paper in black ink; and Volume V, No. 10, which is an off white cover bearing an illustration of the South Prospect of the Cathedral of S. Patrick's in Dublin", in brown ink. All are bound at the spine by two staples. Publication volumes were originally issued four times within a year's span in May, August, November, and February of the next year. Then in late 1947, publication months became more sporadic, and more than four issues were printed in subsequent volumes. Volume I, No. 1's title is slightly different, reading "Divinity: A Quarterly Magazine edited by members of the Church of Ireland". Contents of issues range from a variety of theological topics, such as: "Recent Theological Trends", "Religious Education in Northern Ireland", "The Church in Relation to the State", "The Theology of Holy Baptism", "Contemporary Continental Protestantism", "Clergy and Party Politics in Northern Ireland", "The Church's Teaching on Justification and Election", "Neo-Scholasticism", "St. Thomas Aquinas", "Marriage in the Modern World", "Moral and Ascetic Theology", "The Drama of the Bible", "Neurosis in the Church of England", "Moral Theology in the Anglican Communion", Lambeth 1948, What Is It", "International Relations: The Church's Solution", "The Eucharist and Reunion", and many more articles. Pages range from approximately 25 to 40 pages, respectively, yet most are numbered continuously, in that the subsequent volume will pick up in pagination where the previous volume's page ended - yet this pattern is also sporadic as well. The original price for each issue was 1 per copy ore 4/6 per annum, post free. Volume III includes a newspaper clipping from "The Church of Ireland Gazette and Family Newspaper" circa 1946 laid in. ISSUES INCLUDED IN THIS SET ARE: Volume I, No. 1; Published May, 1945 Volume I, No. 2; Published August, 1945 Volume I, No. 3; Published November, 1945 Volume I, No. 4; Published February, 1946 Volume II, No. 1; Published May, 1946 Volume II, No. 2; Published August, 1946 Volume II, No. 3; Published November, 1946 Volume II, No. 4; Published February, 1947 Volume III, No. 1; Published May, 1947 Volume III, No. 2; Published September, 1947 Volume III, No. 3; Published December, 1947 Volume III, No. 4; Published May, 1948 Volume IV, No. 1; Published August, 1948 Volume IV, No. 2; Published December, 1948 Volume IV, No. 3; Published March, 1949 Volume IV, No., 4; Published June, 1949 Volume IV, No. 5; Published September, 1949 Volume IV, No. 6; Published December, 1949 Volume V, No. 8; Published June, 1950 Volume V, No. 10; Published June, 1951 This set also included are duplicate copies of Vol. I, No. 4; and Vol. II, No. 3.
