Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. For generations, animals have vanished, suffered, or quietly endured unspeakable mistreatment at the hands of people who believed no one was watching. They were wrong. Caroline-quiet, observant, and far more powerful than she appears-has spent years mapping every cruelty, every disappearance, and every name on a list she keeps close. Now, at last, she has the means to follow the trail with patience, precision, and a calculated, relentless pursuit of justice for the voiceless. What begins on the surface as a luxurious, multimillion-dollar compound is, in truth, the carefully crafted center of Caroline's purpose. Behind its gates, her world is built on intention. Every room, every path, and every quiet corner serves a role in a plan years in the making. Those who have harmed animals-whether through violence, neglect, or pure indifference-begin to feel the tightening ripple of consequences they never imagined possible. As rumors spread, fear grows. Bodies appear. Long-held secrets crack open under pressure. Whispers turn to panic as a strange mixture of horror and hope settles over the region. For the first time, people begin to agree on one terrifying truth: the age of getting away with hurting animals may finally be ending.Blending creeping dread with the eerie satisfaction of long-overdue retribution, Sweet Caroline's is a Southern Gothic horror novella that delivers equal parts tension, vengeance, and emotional weight. Readers walk alongside Caroline as she follows the evidence, confronts the ghosts of cruelty, and uses every resource at her disposal to fight back against a world that has looked away for too long.Dark, sharp, and atmospheric, this story explores what justice might look like if someone finally stood up for the animals who never had a voice-and if that someone refused to back down. Sweet Caroline's is a chilling tale for readers who crave morally gray heroines, unsettling revenge, and the cold, satisfying reckoning of consequences coming due. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
