Das Resümee der Arbeit bildet eine sehr gelungene kritische Diskussion der konkreten Umsetzbarkeit von Modellen und Unterrichtsmethoden , Abstract: Bisweilen wird an den (klassischen nicht-akademischen) physiotherapeutischen Fachschulen nur für die praktische Berufsausübung ausgebildet. Die Möglichkeiten der Inhaltsvermittlung werden in diesem Zeitrahmen nicht gelehrt. Dass physiotherapeutische Lehrkräfte jedoch eine pädagogische Grundausbildung zu absolvieren haben, ist in den Bundesländern uneinheitlich bis garnicht geregelt. Dieses Büchlein verweist auf die Möglichkeiten, die vorhandenen pädagogischen Modelle und Methoden in die Unterrichtsgestalltung in der Physiotherapie-Ausbildung umzusetzen.

Epidemiologischen Schätzungen nach leiden etwa 85% der Bevölkerung westlicher Industriestaaten mindestens einmal im Leben an Rückenschmerzen, bei 10% bis 20% werden diese chronisch. Da weiteren Schätzungen nach ca. 80% aller Rückenschmerzen unspezifisch , d. h. ihre genauen Ursachen unklar sind, ist deren gezielte Behandlung und Beseitigung dementsprechend schwierig und weitgehend erfolglos. Im Rahmen dieser Diplomarbeit soll das Kohärenzgefühl als eine mögliche Ursache, für die Entstehung von chronischen Rückenschmerzen untersucht und mögliche Interventionen, die das Kohärenzgefühl beeinflussen, diskutiert werden. Zum besseren Verständnis werden zudem bestehende Herangehensweisen zur Betrachtung des Phänomens chronischer Rückenschmerz vorgestellt.
