paperback. Condition: As New. 1st edition. 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", 300 pages. This story demonstrates that one man, notably a Lakota Native American, living on the fringes of society, can "change the system". Alcohol killed most of his drinking friends and counterparts, but he survived to fight and win. His eventual "Sundance court case…" led to radical reform of the processes of arrest and conviction of public inebriates, and it helped create the process of alcoholic rehabilitation.
