Condition: fair. First edition, undated but probably circa 1900. Paperback booklet: stapled grey paper wrappers with brown and blue printed titles and picture to front. 48pp. Colour pictorial title page. Introduction on the benefits of eating bananas, followed by Elders & Fyffes fleet list of Banana Steamers and branches, then recipes, with some colour photo illustrations in text. It would seem that consumption of bananas on a widespread scale was fairly new in Britain. Wrappers creased with small corner losses, large split half way along spine, staples rusty in centre though pages holding.
