Binding modestly worn and a bit cocked, tiny hole in lower shoulder, foredge of lower board stained, about very good. Briefly Inscribed on the front fly. Fryer was a WWI veteran and, according to an encyclopedia of Indiana authors hosted by Indiana University, set the type and printed this novel himself. He also operated Fryer Pharmacy in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for a number of years. *OCLC* locates three copies (LOC, three Indiana libraries). Signed.
