Couple of pencil markings adjusting menu items, light soiling to edges, corners rubbed/bumped, and a small 2" tear to tail of menu, not affecting text. Overall, a nice br…ight copy. Tan paper, printed in dark brown, type in deep purple and lavender, now housed in a mylar sleeve.

Illustrated wrappers of a birds-eye view of the city. 7-3/4" x 6" "The Cafà de la Paix opened June 30, 1862, to serve the Grand-Hà tel de la Paix (named after the nearby rue de la Paix), whose name was later shortened to Grand-Hà tel.[2] It serviced visitors of Expo exhibition in 1867. Its pro…ximity to the Opà ra attracted many famous clients, including Jules Massenet, Ãmile Zola, and Guy de Maupassant. The Cafà is also the setting for the poem "The Absinthe Drinkers" by the Canadian poet, Robert Service." [wiki] The restaurant still sands today and was issued historical landmark status from the French government in 1975. A VG+ copy. Some very neat ink markings to menu items (crossing out of changing prices), overall clean and bright. Thin card stock, self wrappers, printed in green, black and yellow. Menu items printed in mustard yellow, now housed in a mylar sleeve.

White, illustrated (in color) card stock wrappers, white paper leaves written in purple ink, all held together by a red cord tie. Now housed in a mylar sleeve.

Small vignette ilustration done by "Caran D'Ache". 6-1/2" x 4-1/4" "Caran d'Ache was the pseudonym of the 19th century French satirist and political cartoonist Emmanuel Poirà (6 November 1858 â" 25 February 1909). "Caran d'Ache" comes from the Russian word karandash ( ), meaning pencil. While his first w…ork glorified the Napoleonic era, he went on to create "stories without words" and as a contributor to newspapers such as the Le Figaro, he is sometimes hailed as one of the precursors of comic strips.
