Quarto hardback in blue cloth. PRESENTATION COPY. Signed & inscribed by the author to a Vanderbilt University classmate, who became a leading politician in Memphis, TN. "To J**** Nor*****. In memory of the days of '99 (1899). Compliments of the Auth or, Fred Bryson." Book is quite tight, blue covers bright. Textblock is square and straight, some light toning, but no defects. Bottom corners are worn, some light wear at head and heel of spine. Gold lettering on spine remains bright, not rubbed. J acket is price clipped and toned. Chip to top edge, corners, head and heel of spine, smaller scuffs and tiny holes to rear. Still, the front cover is completely intact, as is the spine. In mylar, of course.
