Edges of volumes 16, 18, and 19 are also heavily worn, leaving the covers weakly attached (binding still internally tight). The other spines are worn and rather ragged. Owner's stamp on each volume's front endpaper. Otherwise, text clean and binding tight across the set. Treasury of literature by a wide range of popular, renowned authors, arranged thematically. Illustrated with numerous black and white plates. Each volume also contains a color frontispiece and a decorative, colorful title page. The colophon states that this is a limited edition, one of 6,000 copies, but is not itself numbered.
