An aviation prodigy, Assen Jordanoff (1896-1967) enjoyed his first solo flight before his 16th birthday in 1912 and joined the Bulgarian Air Force in the fall of that same year so as to participate in the First Balkan War. Jordanoff assembled his first airplane in 1918 and was later employed by Curtiss-Wright and Boeing. Jordanoff authored several other aviation books including "YOUR WINGS" (1936), "THROUGH THE OVERCAST; THE ART OF INSTRUMENT FLYING" (1938), and "JORDANOFF'S ILLUSTRATED AVIATION DICTIONARY" (1942). A very good+ copy in a good+ dust jacket.
