This "fantasy/adventure" for children features feisty Lucinda, a creature 12 inches tall, made entirely from intelligent plant life. From the afterword: "It is a novel in which the main character spontaneously speaks in rhyme and because of this technique the book is a wonderful introduction to poetry for children. In these poems, which are woven into the prose as dialogue, she implements the use of rhyme and meter to make the poems delightful for the young reader and refreshing for the adult who hasn't read rhyme in quite some time.".
