Hardcover, 4x6 inches, embossed decorative brown cloth, gilt lettering, 216 pp, illustrated with an exceptionally nice CHROMOLITHOGRAPH fpc (rural scene of children feeding a dog) and 2 B&W plates (old bookstore and domestic scene, both by Van Ingen Snyder) . Very good+, no DJ. Corners bu…mped with a bit of cardboard exposed there, darkened along top edge, 2 or 3 dogears, o/w tight, clean, crisp, unmarked and probably never really read. Victorian children's stories which paint interesting vignettes of life then, manners and mores, etc. Children's; religion.
