Il remercie son correspondant .pour Ronsard. et avoue qu'il connait mal l'uvre de ce dernier .Ce que vous.me dites m'étonne. Expliquez-moi ça. Puis, revenant à Maréchal Pétain, il ajoute .qui est capable aujourd'hui de lir…e cela et d'en comprendre les rythmes subtils, d'en percevoir les résonnances ? de respirer cet oxygène ? Hélas, combien peu ! Et c'est pourquoi, il est plus méritoire encore de l'avoir écrit. En post-scriptum, il réclame .une lettre pertinente pour m'éclairer sur Voici Ronsard. Je la mettrai dans Maréchal Pétain en l'envoyant à mon relieur.Pierre Frondaie fut un romancier et dramaturge à succès : ses pièces furent jouées dans toute l'Europe ainsi qu'à Broadway et les studios américains d'Hollywood produisirent plusieurs adaptations de ses romans. L'Homme à l'Hispano fut porté à l'écran par Julien Duvivier (1926) et Jean Epstein (1933).
