Evaluating Anglo-Saxon studies in the context of higher education in the United States today, Allen J. His book is addressed to medievalists, classicists, and others whose intellectual interest in ancient civilization has been marginalized by previously marginalized subjects and by what might be termed stubborn self-marginalization.
