Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm vinyl Dixieland jazz LP, numbered 29747, near-mint vinyl in a near-mint cardboard jacket which has been autographed by each of the seven band members including band leader/ bass player Chuck Diamond, trumpet playe…r Henry Levine, and drummer Lou Lalli next to the appropriate Bill Baker caricature on the verso. The additional inscription "Have a good 77!" probably indicates a signing at or near New Year's, 1977. Opened in 1970 as the "Royal Inn," the ill-fated Vegas hotel-casino property on Convention Center Drive went through numerous owners and name changes including the Royal Americana (1980-1982), the Paddlewheel (1983-1993), the Debbie Reynolds (1993-1999), and the Greek Isles (2001-2009), finally being imploded as "The Clarion" on Feb. 10, 2015. The reference to Frank Toti and Michael Gaughan additionally dates this album to the period 1972-1979; we know Chuck Diamond's "Royal Dixie" outfit began their residency in 1973. Reduced from $47. Album design & caricatures by W.W."Bill" Baker (illustrator). Inscribed by Author(s).
