Encuadernación de tapa dura. Condition: Nuevo. Dust Jacket Condition: Como Nuevo. Interfunktionen, an art journal which published 12 issues between 1968 and 1975 in Cologne, was founded in 1968 as a form of protest by artists who had no affinity with the critical lines that were redrawn at Documenta that year. The review was of considerable importance as a vehicle for propagating pro-European ideas and as a union between artists in Europe and the United States, irrespective of the predominating movements of the time. It contained both theoretical and practical contributions, with the intervention of creators who defined and illustrated their artistic strategies. Directly linked to the most prominent figures in the Düsseldorf Kunstacademie, such as Joseph Beuys, Jorg Immendorf and Sigmar Polke, it also boasted the involvement of the most spirited and reflexive artists of the times, from Vito Acconci and Marcel Broodthaers to Bruce Nauman and Dieter Roth. Interfunktionen, as its name indicates, was an inter-disciplinary publication, open to all artistic genres and with no restrictions as to media. This book is produced in collaboration with Fritz Heubach, the review's first editor, and depicts the experience of those years by means of original documents--some of them hitherto unpublished--artworks, and artists' writings.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. F. Graham Cootes (illustrator). nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Crittenden: A Kentucky Story of Love and War is a historical fiction novel written by John Fox Jr. The story is set in the early 1860s in rural Kentucky and follows the life of Judge George Crittenden, a respected lawyer and politician who is torn between his love for his family and his duty to his state during the American Civil War.As the war rages on, Judge Crittenden's family is torn apart by conflicting loyalties. His son, Tom, joins the Confederate army, while his daughter, Mary, falls in love with a Union soldier. Meanwhile, Judge Crittenden struggles to maintain his neutrality and keep his family safe from the violence and chaos of the war.The novel explores themes of love, loyalty, and sacrifice against the backdrop of one of the most tumultuous periods in American history. Through the eyes of Judge Crittenden and his family, readers are given a glimpse into the personal toll that the Civil War took on ordinary people, as well as the larger political and social issues that shaped the conflict.Overall, Crittenden: A Kentucky Story of Love and War is a gripping and emotional tale of one family's struggle to survive and find meaning in a time of great upheaval and change.1911. War correspondent and author, Fox wrote 14 novels and 45 short stories. The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come is his best-known and best-selling book. Crittenden begins: Day breaking on the edge of the Bluegrass and birds singing the dawn in. Ten minutes swiftly along the sunrise and the world is changed: from nervous exaltation of atmosphere to an air of balm and peace; from grim hills to the rolling sweep of green slopes; from a high mist of thin verdure to low wind-shaken banners of young leaves; from giant poplar to white ash and sugar-tree; from log-cabin to homesteads of brick and stone; from wood-thrush to meadowlark; rhododendron to bluegrass; from mountain to lowland, Crittenden was passing home.
