Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. "Filled with fascinating and little-known details, this book captures the tempo of the times and the personalities of the people who influenced the Studebaker company throughout its operation. You'll see the company's first tentative move toward self-propelled vehicles - an electric car produced in 1902 - and their final, full-scaled commitment to motorized transportation with fours and sixes of 1913. It was the start of an automotive line that was to continue in a steady flow for 56 years, including wartime production for three separate conflicts. There's complete data on the design and mechanics of every model manufactured with production and price info, and complete descriptions, specs, and serial numbers. From trim changes to color and upholstery options to contemporary road test results: nothing is left out! Most importantly, the story goes beyond the autos themselves to give you an indepth look at the individuals who built the company and made the decisions. This is truly the most complete and comprehensive volume ever published on Studebaker!" - dust jacket. Oblong 11" x 9". pp. [9], 10-368. Index. Table of Vehicle Specifications 1904-1966. List of Automobile Showroom Literature 1913-1966. Profusely illustrated with black and white reproductions of archival photos plus a sixteen-page full-color section.
