Hardcover, original blue-gray pebbled blindstamped decorative cloth, xiv & 671 pp + 24 pp publisher's catalogue and an apparently erroneously tipped-in title page to "Sloan's Homestead Architecture", well illustrated with drawings & fold-out chart. Very good, no dustjacket. Ex-college library. Corners bumped with a bit of cardboard exposed there, spine moderately faded with approximately 1/4 inch fraying at head and foot. Internally, front and rear hinges cracked (glue repaired) , a bit shaken, otherwise, apart from library marks, tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked; probably just flipped through, but never reallly read. A classic textbook of 19th century chemistry, with the usual chapters on some of the then known elements and compounds, including glass, all illustrated with drawings of now somewhat antique laboratory apparatus, industrial processes, etc. Chemistry; science; school; science; reference; technology.
