With a portrait frontispiece showing Torquato Tasso as a classical Roman poet wearing a laurel wreath. - This fine compilation includes Tasso's 1573 play "Arminta", featuring a separate title-page, and the pastorale "Euridice" by Rinuccini, as well as 18 sonnets and 74 madrigals by Guarini. The engraved title-page bears the same place and date as the letterpress one, but differs in the printer's name, bearing the imprint "presso J. Binns, E. Greenwood, e da varj libraj in Londra". - Binding slightly rubbed; corners lightly bumped. Pagination jumps from 86 to 89.
