Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 3rd printing (September 1970). 455pp. VG book, binding gently warped, corners bumped, cloth covers clean and bright, ink price on ffep, otherwise internally very good; in GOOD+ dust jacket, lightly edge worn with a few nicks, spine ends chipped, rear spine edge worn, hint of sunning to spine, now preserved in archival jacket protector. From the library of British film director Jack Clayton (1921-1995), although no indication of provenance appears in the book. The book would have served as research for his unrealised film adaptation of Jessamyn West's 'The Massacre at Fall Creek' (1975), a new wave western entitled Fall Creek (1976) in collaboration with producer David Merrick and with a script by Larry McMurtry.
