This book describes by pictorial example and comment the concept of graphic design in the early 1960s. The three authors were all successful graphic designers, able to assess and then to solve logically and simply any problems of graphic communication, be it persuasive (advertising) or informative (books). In this book their work is shown in company with fifty of the best known European and American designers of the time.

This book is the basis for what was to come, whereby Graphic design started to reference, compare and reflect itself. The images are pure 60 s, which at times dates the content. The book stands up well though. Condition is good as with most copies that emerge, reason being this is always a well read volume. Immaculate copies I fear do no longer exist.
