    Early reprint (first published 1879 as dated on copyright page; 1880 at foot of title page). [1]-4, [2], [title leaf], [1-3], 4-361, [1], 4 pages. Hardcover: H 17.5cm x L 12.75cm. Light brown cloth with some soiling and staining with fraying at spine ends and board corners; black stamping to front board; gilt and black stamping to spine; rear board's non-colored stamping matches that of front. Toning and light staining to text block edges; past owner's black ink signature (in a relatively modern script) at top of front pastedown with small associated ink smudge at top of opposing front free endpaper recto. Lightly stained bindery ticket for "J. Fowler Trow, Jr. Bookbinder, 13 & 15 Vandewater St." at front pastedown's bottom left. Occasional small stains/soiling to interior pages which overall remain clean. Binding is firm. Five pages of publisher ads plus correspondence statement at front; four pages of ads at rear. {Antiq-Shelf#1}.
