A lovely original caricature of two men, looking at a newspaper entitled "Le Ploubot de St Ouen." Entitled La Gloire. The illustration is in watercolour, and is pasted onto a stiff card backing board. To the edge are what seem to be editorial comments in crayon. The card has been stuck up at some point, so the top edge is a little raged. Closed tear to the bottom edge. We have been unable to identify the artist, but is still an attractive period piece of caricature art. Painting is 33cm x 25.5cm. The card is 38.5cm x 29cm. .
