Contact seller5-star sellerAmerican second printing (with Viking's requisite "Second Printing April 1961" statement upon copyright page; "Second Printing" statement repeated at top of dj's front flap). [8], 248 pages. Hardcover: H 21cm x L 13.75cm. Dust jacket with color pictorial front panel (design credited to S.A. Summit, Inc. on rear flap); strong rub…bing; large chips at top of front panel with other smaller losses, tears, and wear at edges and folds; ink marks to soiled rear panel with moisture stain at top right; obtrusively strong vertical bands of dark toning to both flaps' terminal edges and to front and rear pastedowns all caused by removed tape strips which previously secured the dj; front flap retains publisher's printed "$3.95" price at top right. Yellow cloth soiled at tops of boards and spine. Muted brown top edge with past owner's handwritten name in ink with latter also occurring on bottom edge. Some soiling to endpapers (in addition to aforementioned tape bands); jagged tear at center of pages 73-74 with small text loss; a few spots of soiling to interior pages which overall remain clean. Binding is firm. A flawed copy but a good placeholder for one seeking to complete a collection of James Bond early printings.

Hardcover: H 21.75cm x L 14.75cm. Dust jacket rubbed and lightly soiled/foxed; small chip at spine head; nicks at other edges; strong vertical crease to rear flap; publi…sher's printed price "$5.75" present at front flap's top right.
