Beautifully Designed Eps By John Koehl With An Art Deco Design. The Following Fp Has A Small Very Faint 'Water Mark' Which Has Not Bled Onto Any Other Pages. Heavy Boards Covered With Dark Leather, Five Banded Spine With Bright Gilt Title And Blind Stamped Design. Front Board Has A Blind Stamped Pattern And 4 Hinge Like Blind Stamps, One In Each Corner. Centre Is The Red Winged American Eagle Over A Scroll With The Word Achievement In Gilt. Although There Has Been Gentle Rubbing To The Boards The Tips Are Good And The Spine Ends Show Only Very Gentle Use. The Top Block Edge Is Gilt With A Small Scuff. A Lovely Tribute To The Work Of The Printers And Engravers Of The Time. A Great Historical Record. A Very Heavy Book, Please Ask For Shipping Estimate Before Ordering.

Black, blind-embossed faux leather over boards with a design of an eagle on the front over the word "Achievement." Eagle is colored red and white with dark claws. Lettering on the spine is gold. A very large and heavy volume. The inside hinges are starting but still strong. There are a few small tears to three of the illustrations (nothing major) but overall in wonderful shape.This is an over-sized (and very overweight) book. Extra postage will be required for the shipping of this heavy/large book.

Laid in is a six page advertisement for the book, and includes a "Raison d'être" statement from the editor compiler and a summary of the books contents. This volume is lavishly illustrated with color and black-and-white images. Five pictures do not do this book justice. Thick, stamped (faux) leather/cloth over boards, 488 pp. Approx. 9.25" x 12.5" x 3", with a top gilt edge. Good Condition. Please examine photos closely. Wear, aging, soiling to covers. Some loss to rear cover. Binding is firm. Moderate play to joints, gutters appear to have been reinforced or redone- this is a heavy book, and will require additional shipping instead of the charges typically assigned. Age toning at end, otherwise, interior is clean & bright, nicely preserved.
